The standard combustion chamber of the XPAG and XPEG cylinder head is designed for use with SU carburettors. i.e. the fuel and air mixture is ‘sucked’ into the combustion chamber by the downward motion of the piston.  However on a supercharged engine the reverse happens. The fuel and air mixture is forced in (pushed) by the super charger and therefore the gas flow characteristics are very different.

Yes the super charger will work with a standard head as they have been doing for many years.  However as with all things, progression over time has meant that we now understand gas flow and how it effects the performance of the engine a lot better.

With that knowledge we are able to shape the combustion chamber in the exact way that the gas wants to be pushed and therefore create better flow and pressure in association with the valve size and angle of seat.

Simply put "we can get you increased power, flexibility and torque".

Just send us your cylinder head and we will carry out all the required work.
